Who we are

A film company for stories rooted in culture, identity and human experience.

Bold Pictures develops and produces emotionally driven films that sit between art-house and commercial cinema: strong narrative hooks with real thematic depth, made for audiences across the global diaspora and beyond. We build each film with international collaborators, financing partners and talent, so it is grounded where it comes from and travels where it needs to go.

Founder & Producer

Jumafor founded Bold Pictures to build a slate of globally minded films that connect with audiences across borders. He works across international co-production, film finance and festival markets.

He is currently producing Sleepless, a psychological thriller supported by the BFI and Screen Yorkshire, alongside the Africa premiere of Which Way.

  • Which Way: Official Selection, AFRIFF 15

    Our debut feature, directed by Jide Okeke, has its Africa premiere at the Africa International Film Festival in Lagos, 1–7 November 2026.

    Jumafor Ajogwu was one of six UK producers supported by the BFI to attend the first TIFF market in Toronto, building Canadian co-production partnerships for Sleepless.
